Students may print in campus computer labs. In Open Computing Area labs where users log in, just click print then retrieve your document(s) from a release station when you are ready to pick up the document(s). In academic computer labs and quick print stations, users will need to enter their credentials after clicking print.

Live@LaG Print manages printing in the lab and classroom environments. Live@LaG Print assists the College in understanding the academic printing needs of students, allowing us to fine-tune printing policies to match those needs. Live@LaG Print allows students to monitor how many pages are in each print job, as well as a history of the print jobs they have sent. There are also features that allow users to see what their print jobs’ environmental impact is on trees, carbon, and energy.

LaGuardia Community College established the Student Technology Fee (STF) in 2002 to improve computer services for students and faculty. The fee is $100 per semester for full-time students and $50 per semester for part-time students. In cases of financial hardship, individual students may have the fee waived.

A Committee for Academic Technology Services (CATS) was formed in 2013 to coordinate the use of STF resources. This committee focuses on technological resources directly used by students, such as computers, software, networks, and internet access. Their recommendations prioritize supplementing institutional support, supporting general technology resources before specific ones, prioritizing direct student access over mediated access, and investing in academic or instructional technologies before non-academic ones. They also emphasize maintaining and upgrading existing resources before investing in new ones, while encouraging seeking funding from various sources.
